Tandridge Flood Support

Tandridge council are offering support for those affected by the recent flooding.

The Repair and renew grant could provide homwowners and businesses with up to £5,000, there is also a Council tax exemption scheme for flooded properties

Rugby Club Thefts

Thieves stole the keys for a black Land Rover Discovery parked in a sports club in Caterham before making off from the scene in the vehicle, which has yet to be recovered.

Several mobiles, money and a number of other items were also stolen from the changing rooms in the Old Caterhamians Rugby Club earlier this week.

The incident took place at some point between 7.20pm and 8.15pm on Tuesday, 8 April.

Easter Egg Waste

Watch out how much waste we create over Easter this spring.

That’s the message West Sussex County Council are sending out to prevent waste by buying Easter Eggs with less packaging.

And if Eggs don’t have a plastic box that’s even better as currently only plastic bottles can be recycled at the county’s Recycling Facility.

80 million eggs are sold across the UK each year, which means thousands of tons of wasted cardboard and foil wrappers.

Leatherhead Drama Festival

Bassett is a darkly comic, powerful look at young people questioning their country and beliefs while living in a world where they can hardly remember a time when they were not at war.

Put on by Leatherhead Theatre, Bassett is a play directed by Sian Crisp and Blair Robertson.

The drama with 14 young actors will be playing for two weeks from the 5th of May for the Leatherhead Drama Festival.

Weekend Sports Preview

In League One Crawley Town FC travel to MK Dons tomorrow (Saturday 12th April), hoping to return to winning ways after their 1-nil defeat by Brentford Tuesday evening.

Horley Town travel to Hanworth Villa in the Combined Counties Premier Division; and South Park have home advantage against Camberley Town.

And in Combined Counties Division One, Dorking face South Kilburn away.
