Local Football Update

In the National League, Dorking Wanderers remain in 17th place after their 3-0 win away to Boreham Wood on Saturday.

Three Bridges are in fifth place in the Isthmian South East Division table following their 3-2 home win over Chichester City.  Merstham lost 2-1 away to bottom of the table Beckenham Town.  

In the South Central Division, South Park Reigate lost 5-4 against Westfield at Whit29ehall Lane.

Local Football Results

Most of our local teams’ matches were postponed on Saturday due to frozen pitches.

In the National League, Dorking Wanderers picked up their first home win of the year with a 1-0 victory over Gateshead.

East Grinstead Town won their Isthmian South East division match 1-0 away to Ashford United.

In the Combined Counties Premier Division, Horley Town lost 2-1 against second from bottom Sheerwater.  It was a goalless draw for Redhill away to Jersey Bulls.

Banning Order Issued to Three Football Supporters from Crawley

Three football supporters have been issued with banning orders for incidents of disorder at matches last year involving Crawley Town FC. 

Following investigations by Sussex Police’s Football Unit, Liam Green, Benjamin Lanceley and Yai Prentice were convicted and issued with Football Banning Orders that last for three years.  This prohibits the individuals from attending a football fixture, or the celebrations in the local area prior or post match. 

Green was involved in a disorder during a match between Crawley Town and Sutton United.  Lanceley and Prentice were involved in an incident in Cleveland during a fixture between Crawley Town and Hartlepool.  All three are residents of Crawley.

Football Update

Crawley Town slip to eleventh place in the League Two table following their 1-0 defeat against Salfords on Saturday.  The Reds are one place below AFC Wimbledon whom they travel to face next weekend.

A couple of our local teams have bowed out of the FA Trophy.  Dorking Wanderers lost 5-0 away to Macclesfield; and Horsham FC lost 3-0 to Peterborough.

Local Football Update

In League 2, Crawley Town won 4-2 away to Bradford City on Saturday.  The Reds move up to 9th place.

Dorking Wanderers lost 1-0 to Oldham Athletic at Meadowbank and slip to 19th place in the National League table.

There were losses for Merstham, Three Bridges, and East Grinstead Town in their Isthmian League South East Division matches.
