Local Football Results

Crawley Town are second in the League 2 table following their 3-0 win over Sutton United on Saturday.  Sutton are bottom of the table and are yet to win a game this season.

In the National League, Dorking Wanderers won 2-0 away to Hartlepool.

Three Bridges are top of the Isthmian Division South East table winning 4-2 at home to Broadbridge Heath.  Merstham are at the other end of the table following their 5-1 loss against Burgess Hill Town.  The departure from the Club of First Team Manager, Tony Reid was announced on Friday.

Crawley Town won 3-2 over Grimsby Town on Saturday taking the Reds to 4th place in the League 2 table.  Dan Orsi scored the winning goal against his old club in the 95th minute:

Dorking Wanderers lost their National League match 2-1 at home to Rochdale AFC.

Two of our local teams met in the second qualifying round of the FA Trophy at the weekend.  South Park Reigate hosted Three Bridges and although they were down to 10 in the first half, South Park won 2-1 and are through to the next round.

Missiles Thrown at Football Match

Crawley Town FC may be facing sanctions from the Football Association, after a large group of fans were seen throwing missiles at their opponent’s goalkeeper on Saturday.

The game against Tranmere Rovers saw Crawley Town secure a home 3-2 victory, which was almost abandoned due to the incident in the stadium’s South Terrace.

The club says it expects to receive sanctions in the coming weeks which will put it under “significant financial stress,” as they offered an apology and said it was starting an investigation.

Crawley Town move up to 6th place in the League 2 table after their 3-2 win over Tranmere Rovers on Saturday.  Klaidi Lolos scored the winning goal in the 96th minute.  

In the National League, Dorking Wanderers celebrated their first away win of the season with a 1-0 victory over Halifax Town.

Redhill FC are out of the FA Cup, losing 4-0 away to step 3 side Whitehawk in their second round qualifying match.  The Lobsters were down to 10 for the last 9 minutes of the match after Harry Pointing went off injured.

Local Football Preview

It’s a big game for Redhill FC tomorrow who travel to Isthmian Premier side Whitehawk, in the second round qualifying of the FA Cup.  

In League 2, Crawley Town host Tranmere Rovers.  Crawley are currently in 10th place in the table.  

Both games kick off at 3 pm.
