Weekend Football

Crawley Town lost at home to Peterborough in League One on Saturday. They went down 4 goals to 1.

The Combined Counties: Horley Town lost at home to Hartley Witney by one goal to nil.

In Ryman South, Merstham were victorious away at East Grinstead Town, 3-2.

Three Bridges went three-goals down against Hythe Town, without reply.

And South Park travelled to Sittingbourne where they put two past the host’s goalkeeper whilst themselves keeping a clean sheet.

Weekend Football Update

Crawley Town came back from 2 goals down to earn an excellent League One point away at Coventry on Saturday afternoon. Gwion Edwards and Izale McLeod scoring in the first half.

In the Ryman League, Merstham drew 2 all at home with Worthing, and it was a similar score in South Park’s home encounter with Hythe Town.

East Grinstead Town lost 3-2 at Ramsgate while it was a win by the same margin for Three Bridges against Hastings.
Finally Redhill managed to get a point with a 1 all away draw at Whyteleafe.

Football preview

In League 1 Coventry are playing Crawley Town this weekend.

Ryan Dickson and Emmett O’Connor will both be sitting on the side with injuries.

 

In the Ryman league Redhill are up against Whyteleafe and Merstham are playing Worthing.

Sports Roundup

In a pretty good weekend for our local teams, Marvin Elliott’s double on his home debut secured Crawley victory over Yeovil by 2 goals to nil at the Broadfield stadium on Saturday afternoon. The win moves the Reds up to 12th in League One.

In the Ryman League South, South Park beat Ramsgate by 3 goals to 1 in a thrilling away match. Meanwhile, Three Bridges came out 2 – 1 winners at home to Whitstable Town.

And in the FA Cup second qualifying round, Redhill overcame Tonbridge Angels 2 – 1 at Kiln Brow. The only negative this weekend was Merstham’s 2 – 1 away defeat at Whitehawk.

Weekend Football

In football, it was another poor league one performance as Crawley Town went down 2 nil at Preston.

Not much better in the Ryman League, where Redhill lost 1 nil at home to Walton Casuals, while Three Bridges lost 1 nil at Walton and Hersham. And it was a massive 4 nil home defeat for East Grinstead who were hosting Sittingbourne.

On a more positive note, South Park managed a 2 all home draw against Chipstead and Merstham had a good away performance drawing 3 all at Hythe.
