FA charges John Yems

Crawley Town FC’s John Yems has been charged with two breaches of FA Rule E3 following their EFL League 2 fixture against Hartlepool United FC on Saturday 12 February 2022.

It is alleged that the manager used abusive and/or insulting words towards a match official following the end of the fixture. It is also alleged that he used abusive and/or insulting words and/or gestures towards a match official following his dismissal.

John Yems has until Friday 18 February 2022 to provide a response.

The club says they will be making no further comment on the matter.

Football Update

Crawley Town are in 12th place in the League 2 table after losing 1-0 to Hartlepool at the People’s Pension Stadium.  Sutton United’s unbeaten run was stretched to 12 games following their 1-1 draw at home to league leaders, Forest Green Rovers.  

Dorking Wanderers remain top of the National League South table, winning 2-0 away to Bath City.

In the Isthmian League Premier Division, Merstham lost 2-0 at home to Worthing.  Horsham won 4-0 at home to Kingstonian.

Football: Crawley 3-1 Harrogate

Crawley gained their first ever victory over Harrogate with a 3-1 away win.

Aramide Oteh gave the visitors a lead early on in the second half but Diarra equalised the score in the 61st minute.

Nicholas Tsaroulla broke the tie with a left-footed shot, victory for Crawley was sealed when Tom Nichols scored five minutes later.

Crawley Town places 12th in the table.

Football Update

On Saturday, Crawley Town drew 2-2 at home to Stevenage after two late goals from the visitors in the 80th and 92nd minutes. 

Sutton United drew 1-1 at home to Bristol Rovers;  the extra point brings Sutton back into third place in the League 2 table.

Football: Crawley Town 1-1 Swindon

Swindon and Crawley drew in their match on Tuesday.

Jack Powell’s penalty in the 41st gave Crawley the lead at the end of the first half.

Ben Gladwin stole Crawley’s victory with a goal in the second minute of stoppage time towards the end of the second half.

Swindon midfielder Louis Reed was shown a red card after the full-time whistle for dissent.

The final score 1-1.
