Meanwhile Sutton United finished second from bottom in League 2 and are relegated to the National League.

Horsham FC have reached their first ever Isthmian Premier Division play offs following their victory over Concord Rangers at the weekend; Horsham travel to Chatham Town for the play off on Wednesday.

Three Bridges finished the season in fourth place in the Isthmian South East and secured their place in the semi final play off tomorrow evening away to Sittingbourne FC.

Football: Crawley and Sutton charged after post match clash

Sutton United and Crawley Town have been charged with misconduct by the Football Association following a clash between players after their match on Saturday.

The FA charge said that both clubs had allegedly failed to ensure that their players and technical area occupants do not behave in an improper or provocative way after the final whistle.

The teams have until Friday to respond to the charges.

Local Football Results: Playoffs Update

As we near the end of the football season, many of our local teams’ fates are yet to be decided by the last two games.

In League 2, Crawley Town drew 2 all with Sutton United at Gander Green Lane on Saturday.  The Reds need to win their last game and for other results to go their way to secure the play off spot.  At the other end of the table Sutton United also need a win next Saturday to stand a chance of avoiding relegation.

Dorking Wanderers’ fate was already sealed last week; they will be relegated to the National League South next season.  Dorking lost 4-3 at home to Hartlepool in their last game and finished second from bottom in the National League.

In the Isthmian South East Division, Three Bridges won 2-1 over Sevenoaks Town.  Three Bridges have already secured their place in the play off semi finals which take place on Tuesday 30th April.

Football Results: Play-Offs and Relegation Updates

Crawley Town just held on to the crucial seventh place play off spot in the League 2 table despite losing 3-2 to Colchester United on Saturday.  With just three matches to go until the end of the season, the Reds host sixth place Barrow tomorrow evening.

In their final away game of the season, it was a 1-1 draw for Dorking Wanderers at Rochdale AFC. The result officially confirmed Dorking’s relegation from the National League.  Dorking host Hartlepool on Saturday in their final game of the season.

It was good news for Three Bridges whose 2-0 win over Erith and Belvedere yesterday confirmed their fifth place play off place for promotion from the Isthmian South East Division.
