XIX(19) Squadron RAF Air Cadets is the local squadron for Crawley who have an active community role and promote the lifestyle of the RAF whilst developing teenagers through skills, experiences and education.
Unfortunately, due to health and safety concerns, the squadron building has had to close which is a huge loss to the cadets. This building is used to host parade nights twice a week, where all the cadets meet to enjoy a range of activities including DofE, flight simulation, fieldcraft and adventure training.
The money that they are looking to raise will help keep the cadet experience going for the 51 Air Cadet teenagers of Crawley and will help provide them with valuable equipment and resources.
SUSY Radio presenter, Joe Exler, spent four years with the squadron therefore having a personal interest in this mission and wanted to find out more:
As part of SUSY Radio’s involvement with “Local Radio Day” on Friday, 24th May 2019, Chrissy had a special guest visit her at Susy Towers.
