Paul Gooderson – Crawley & Horsham Veterans Breakfast Club

The Crawley & Horsham AFVBC is not just a Breakfast Club but a Community of serving and retired veterans as well as the extended military family.

They offer peer to peer support and can also assist with welfare issues having links to other organisations.

On Thursday, 8th September they are opening a ‘Horsham Veterans Drop-in’ at Westlake House, Pondtail Rd, Horsham RH12 5EZ.

Horsham’s Jeremy Quin MP will be cutting the tape and a host of veteran support agencies will be attending.
it will then be open to veterans and their families every Thursday going forward.

It’s a fantastic opportunity for veterans in the local area to get veteran specific support. The drop-in is sponsored by Barchester Healthcare who manage Westlake House.

Vivienne Salter – Sight For Surrey

Vivienne Salter, Events & Engagement Manager, at ‘Sight for Surrey’ spoke about the work of the sensory service organisation along with news of an upcoming cricket match to be held on Sunday, 18th September in support of the charity which is also celebrating its centenary this year.

Neil reaches dizzy heights at Fire and Rescue Open Day!

Susy Radio’s Neil Munday reached the ‘height’ of his broadcasting career at the recent Surrey Fire and Rescue Open Day.

Neil and the team were broadcasting live from the event, describing all the various activities, demonstrations and events which were taking place, visiting the many stalls and talking to some of the stall holders, representatives of the various services and visitors who were attending.
