Loveworks help communities across East Surrey by providing emergency food provision (food banks) and helping to prevent the recurrence of food poverty.
In this interview we are behind the scenes with the Loveworks volunteers, hearing how to access their food banks by referral and what food items are needed, how to donate & volunteer.
In this month’s Spotlight Crawley Parveen Khan talks about events coming up in Crawley during May including The Ifield Mayfayre, A Flavour of Steampunk, STEM in the Park, Crawley Festival BACKstage, and the Rah Rah Theatre’s production of The Teddy Bear’s Picnic.

It’s the 28th year of The East Grinstead Bus Running Day – a lot of dun and happening all day today (Sunday 21st April).
The event brings together over 25 classic buses representing types that used to operate in and around East Grinstead. Destinations reached include Turners Hill, Crawley Down, Lingfield, Godstone, Oxted and Edenbridge. There are also tours up to the Ashdown Forest and of the town.
St. George’s day is officially this coming Tuesday 23rd April.
In the 15th century St. George’s day was a major feast and national holiday in England on a par with Christmas! The tradition of celebration faded by the end of the 18th century after the union of England and Scotland.
