Is this the perfect Cuppa for National Tea Day?

It’s an aromatic drink usually prepared by pouring hot or boiling water over cured leaves of the Camellia sinensis, an evergreen shrub native to Asia.

After water, tea is the second most consumed drink in the world and we Brits drink 165 million cups of it every day.

In celebration of National Tea Day on 21 April here’s a tea experiment that Annie Whitmore conducted on her co-presenter Del Garland during their recent show.

They had a lot of fun discussing research that was carried out on how to make the perfect cuppa.

Happy National Tea Day!

An earthquake in Surrey – Annie Whitmore investigates

Residents in Mole Valley witnessed first-hand the effects of an earthquake on Easter Sunday.

The earthquake, which hit 2.7 on the Richter scale took place just after midday and was centred in Stan Hill. Many people reported houses shaking and windows rattling – some reported hearing noises sounding like an explosion.

Earthquakes in the UK are not uncommon, however it’s rare to get one in Surrey.

Our presenter Annie Whitmore spoke to Professor Richard Selley, President of the Mole Valley Geological Society to find out more about this rare occurrence.
