Athletix Kidz is the UK’s first Athletics specific play programme for
children between the ages of 2½ and 7 years old.
Their programme has been designed to develop your child’s physical,
psychological and social attributes whilst encouraging athletics
specific skills and offering a healthy outlook on life. Tess Lewsey
spoke to one of the organisers, Jason Hoad.
Susy Radio’s Chrissy Muir met up with the lovely James and Ola Jordan at the Belfry Shopping Centres light switch on. Obviously the chat turned to Strictly Come Dancing and James gave some straight talking opinions on the judges and how this years series has turned out.
They also look forward to next year and their first ever tour together ‘James and Ola: Uncensored’ which tells the story of James and Ola’s life and careers through dance.
Strictly Come Dancing stars James and Ola Jordan wowed a huge crowd at the Belfry Shopping Centre in Redhill with a dynamic dance display before officially switching on the Christmas lights.
During an afternoon of fun and dance shoppers were treated to displays by youngsters from the Reigate School of Dance, the Sapphire School of Dance and Star Steppers. Dancing Elves also took to the stage followed by a wonderful performance of the Argentinian Tango by Flavio de Brito and Emma.
Before the lights were switched on James Jordan made a passionate appeal on behalf of the Belfry’s chosen charity Stripey Stork, which supports children and parents experiencing hardship in the local area.
Listen to James and Stripey Stork here:
James and Ola then lead the countdown as over half a million Christmas lights were switched on to herald in the Christmas season in Redhill.
Here’s a special chance for regular listeners of David Jay’s ‘Afternoon Stroll’ to put a face to the name of the special guest presenters who have been appearing on Susy Radio over the past few weeks.
Since David’s own cat Winston retired from the airwaves earlier this year other guest presenters have stepped in to help David as he keeps the music and chat flowing during his regular Afternoon Stroll.
Just recently David has been joined by ‘The Tribe’ who are three gorgeous kittens, Winston 2, Marley and Lady who belong to loyal Susy listeners Scouse Lee and Sandie from Smallfield.
Keep listening to the Afternoon Stroll with David Jay on Susy Radio for more guest presenters and quite possibly more from ‘the Tribe’ in the not too distant future.
