Annie talks to Mark Coxon of Comedy Beats
Professional comedian Mark Coxon set up Comedy Beats a year ago, putting on comedy shows at various venues around the South East of England.
Using the very best comics from the club circuit Mark has booked some of the best in the business including Simon Evans, Dominic Holland and Zoe Lyons.
He spoke to our presenter Annie Whitmore about Comedy Beats and comedy events he has coming up.

Visit To Children’s Outpatients Was a Hoot

A very special visitor came to see the young patients at the children’s outpatient department and the children’s ward at East Surrey Hospital.
Daisy, the European eagle owl, came to the hospital with her handler, Terry Travis from the Heathrow Owl Rescue Centre. Alexandra Fountain was at Outpatients with her three year old daughter and said that the owl’s visit completely changed the mood in the waiting room.
The visit was arranged by Paediatric Surgeon, Nick Alexander who wanted come up with a novel way of lightening the hospital experience for children.

Josh Bailey from Reigate has made it to the second round of the BBC 1 show ‘Let It Shine’.
He’s currently in rehearsals for this Saturday’s show, however our presenter Annie Whitmore managed to catch up with him for a chat.
