Annie talks to Marathon runner Rebecca Howells

An orthopaedic nurse at East Surrey Hospital will be running in the London Marathon.

Rebecca Howells who has Osteopenia is running to raise funds for The National Osteoporosis Society.

She dropped by to chat to our presenter Annie Whitmore about why this means so much to her and how she’s preparing for the challenge.

VARB Festive Feast interview

Despite modern communication – Facebook, mobile texting and so on, there are still many lonely people and Christmas can emphasise the fact they’re on their own.
On Christmas Day, Voluntary Action Reigate & Banstead (VARB) ran their first ‘Festive Feast’ and over 50 lonely people were catered for with a Christmas dinner.
Lisa Irwin, from VARB, looked back at the success of the event when she spoke to Tess Lewsey

Crawley Wasps LFC Through to Sussex Women’s Challenge Cup Final

Crawley Wasps Ladies’ Football Club have booked their place in the Sussex Women’s Challenge Cup final by beating Chichester City’s reserves 5-0 on Sunday.

They now face a repeat of last year’s final against Brighton which Wasps lost 5-1.  

The final will be on Thursday 23rd March at Sussex FA’s headquarters at Culver Road in Lancing.
