Metrobus along with Brighton and Hove Buses have told Susy Radio15 about the quirkiest items left on their buses during 2023.

Over 8,000 items were handed in to the lost property team.

Among the items left were an air mattress, a full canvas painting and a giant cuddly elephant.  Even stranger items included a toilet seat, a large suitcase containing three empty egg boxes, and a cat which was safely returned to a local vet.  Additionally nine items of underwear were found on local buses last year!

Plans for Merstham Rec include a new pavilion with a cafe kiosk, a new play and picnic area, and a community orchard.
