East Surrey Hospital held a ‘Meet the Practitioner’ careers event last week for students from local schools and colleges. Students in year 9 and above were given behind the scenes access and expert demonstrations from teams at the hospital.
They watched doctors, nurses and therapists in the simulation suite, and attended presentations about different careers in healthcare.

Surrey Police will temporarily move its Reigate teams to the former Surrey Fire and Rescue Service HQ at Wray Park in Alma Road.
Wray Park is located around a mile from Reigate Police Station where Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC) was found last month. Officers and Staff will be there for at least the next 18-24 months.
The public facing front counter was recently moved to Caterham Police Station where it will remain, as there are no suitable locations for this service at Wray Park. It’s expected that a phased relocation will be completed before Christmas.
