Christmas has come to Redhill! 

The big Christmas Lights Switch On took place at The Belfry Shopping Centre on Saturday.  The Big Top Pantomime cast of Beauty and The Beast took to the stage in the Belfry for the event:

Thousands of balloons fell from the ceiling to the delight of the crowds.

The Lucy Rayner Foundation was also in attendance as the chosen charity of the Mayor and the Belfry.  The Mayor of the Borough of Reigate and Banstead, Councillor Eddy Humphreys spoke with Susy Radio’s Neil Munday:

Gatwick Airport Station has had a major upgrade and opens to passengers next Tuesday the 21st November. 

The £250,000,000 refurbishment includes a new concourse, airport entrance and remodelled track, that Network Rail say will ease congestion and improve train journey times. 

Accessibility has been improved with new lifts, escalators, stairways and wider platforms.  The work, which began in 2020, will mean an easier journey from train to plane, but hasn’t been straightforward as Network Rail’s Project Director, Mark Summers told BBC Radio Surrey:
